    Pizza vs Satay

Post  wealthraider on Mon May 11, 2009 12:45 am

To all the mothers, happy mother's day! I brought my family for a simple Mother's day treat at a unique restaurant, Pizza vs Satay. We found this place by chance last week when we couldn't decide what to eat for dinner. Having to stay at Kota Kemuning for 2 years allow me to sample most of the restaurant within close proximity.

Pizza vs Satay doesn't sound classy but special. Before stepping into the restaurant, my mental picture of the restaurant is like a typical restaurant trying to look creative by baking satay flavored pizza. The interior design of the restaurant amazed me the moment I stepped in. I wouldn't say it passed for fine dining restaurant but it sure surpassed the standard of most of the restaurant within KK. The design has very strong Italian influence, with many old western posters and decors.

To dine at the restaurant you need to have patience just like dining at one of those side walk cafe in Paris. The waiter/waitress would take their own sweet time to take your order and deliver your orders. It is definitely not a place for quick meal but for spending a relaxing evening. You could indulge in the soft soothing Italian music while waiting for your meal to be served.

It would normally take around 30 to 45 minutes before the food are being served on the table. It's all worth it because the food are so delicious and fresh. Dining there just feel like enjoying western home cook meal.

The restaurant is on the very first row of the shop lots along the main road of KK before reaching canal garden. I have talked to the owner of the restaurant and she told me this is their second restaurant and the third one is opening soon. The key selling points of the restaurant are good ambient, cozy, nice food and very reasonable price. Having a medium size pizza, fettuccine carbunara. cheesy toast and 2 drinks come to around RM50. It's very reasonable.

    Regards,
    Andy
